Upstairs, under the eaves
The Bougainvillea Loft is the only room on the top floor of the old house. The ceiling follows the pitch of the roof, the walls are lime plaster, and the shutters are the originals — heavy, and worth the effort of closing.
A small balcony runs along the garden side, just wide enough for two chairs and the flowers that give the room its name. In the afternoon the whole floor smells like them.
What comes with the loft
Breakfast on the balcony, a garden turndown each evening, and the quietest bed in the house. Guests here also have first call on the two bicycles kept by the gate.
